Christine Evans

EVANS Christine Darush Evans (1916-2015). A longtime resident of Neptune and Atlantic Beach, passed away at her home in Summer Sands on December 17, 2015 at age 99. Christine was born and raised in Jacksonville, IL. She is survived by her son William Darush (Cheri) of Neptune Beach; nephews Dr. Jack Briggs and Frederick Briggs both of The Villages, FL; grandchildren David Darush (Darlene) of Roulette, PA, Allison Brda (Kevin) of Elk Grove, IL, Melissa Mulroy (John) of Elk Grove, IL, Troy Shall (Marci) of Clarion, PA and Tony Shall (Suzanne) of Jacksonville, FL; and many great grandchildren and family. A Navy widow, she traveled extensively and lived in Guam, Morocco and Spain for many years. She was a local real estate broker, housewife, mother and friend to all. To know her was to love her. She was predeceased by 2 sisters, Lena Woodall of Winchester, IL, Roberta Briggs White of Coudersport, PA; a brother, Fred Nunes of New York City and Neptune Beach, and niece Dr. Marilou McLaughlin Wright of Homer, NY. A special Thank You to Keri, my Mother's caregiver for the past 2 years. There will not be services at this time, but a memorial service will be held in the future.
