Cheng Lee Doong

Cheng Lee (Julie) Doong, 80, was born on May 11th, 1945. She passed away peacefully on June 4th, 2025. Julie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who is dearly missed by family and friends alike. She was a successful lawyer and also astute in economics. She will be remembered most for her kindness, generosity, thoughtfulness, elegance and grace. She was well-travelled and Malaysia was home but chose to spend her remaining days in Florida, to be closer to family. Julie is survived by her son Ming (Shirley), daughter Cheng-Yi (Greg) and granddaughters, Rachel, Sydney and Amelia. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Yew Sum.

A private family memorial service was held on June 10th, 2025 at the Quinn Shalz Funeral home in Jacksonville Beach, Florida.
