Howard

South Ponte Vedra Civic Association
2:00 - 3:30 pm (Eastern time)
It is with profound sorrow and a tender heart that we announce the passing of Chelsea “Riane” Howard, a vibrant soul whose love of life touched all who knew her. Born on August 10, 1991, in Jacksonville, Florida, Chelsea’s journey through life was a remarkable blend of determination, compassion, and an unwavering love for those around her. She peacefully left us on May 4, 2026, at her home in Jacksonville, Florida with her beloved and faithful German Shepherd, Löwin, by her side.
Chelsea’s early years in Jacksonville were planted firmly in a foundation of education and creativity. A proud graduate of Ridgeview High School’s IB program in 2009, she took her passion for community engagement into her collegiate years. At the University of North Florida, she actively shaped her future by coordinating events for the university’s Transportation and Logistics Society (TLS), a contribution that paved the way for her flourishing career. She studied abroad in Marseilles, France and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2015.
Stepping into the professional world, Chelsea embraced a career at Yusen Logistics with fervor and dedication. She poured her heart into her work and was beloved by her colleagues for her knack for excellence and her festive spirit. Her diligence and talent saw her rise swiftly in the industry, eventually leading her to Boston, Massachusetts, where she continued to excel as an account manager. Beyond her professional duties, she brought people together in her field by coordinating industry events for the Council of Supply Chain Professionals (CSCMP), weaving her social nature seamlessly into every endeavor.
It was not only her career that defined Chelsea; her creative spirit blossomed beyond the workplace. Known for her clever wit and heartfelt ingenuity, she founded “Nifty Gifting,” a custom greeting card business on Etsy that showcased her exceptional talent. Her creations were more than just cards; they were gifts with expressions of love, humor, and deep thought. Her family treasures her unforgettable gestures: a puzzle-piece-decorated box for her mother labeled “parts of you that make up me,” filled with poignant keepsakes; a playful “I-pad” gift for her father; and a card for her brother Josh featuring batteries with the cheeky note “Gift not included.” These memories echo the joyful cleverness that was uniquely Chelsea.
Her personality was nothing short of radiant. Outgoing, friendly, and eternally a people person, Chelsea never missed a chance to gather and celebrate. Whether with friends from high school, college, work, or with treasured family, her quick smile and laughter filled every room. Deeply caring and compassionate, she radiated love in all her interactions, making lifelong bonds that will forever hold her spirit.
Chelsea delighted in taking Löwin to dog parks, sharing moments of camaraderie and companionship that reflected her own social and loving nature. Her pride in Löwin was evident to all, as was her profound satisfaction in being creative.
Chelsea leaves behind her devoted parents, Jace and Amy Howard; her brother Josh Howard; and a large, diverse circle of relatives and friends who cherish her memory profoundly.
A Celebration of Life will be held on May 9, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the South Ponte Vedra Civic Association, located at 2724 S. Ponte Vedra Blvd, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082. It will be a time for all who knew Chelsea to gather, to share stories and to honor a life so beautifully lived.
Chelsea “Riane” Howard’s life was woven with love, laughter, creativity, and an enduring spirit of kindness. Her legacy is one of thoughtful generosity, joy, and a love she so freely gave. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
