Bill Harrison

d. January 8, 2016

HARRISON Bill Harrison died January 8, 2016 at the McGraw Hospice Center after a valiant yearlong struggle with lung cancer. He is survived by his loving family: wife, Vicki; sons & daughter-in-laws Will and Irma, David and Julie and 5 grandchildren; Connor, Josh, David, Katherine and Cara. Born in Evening Shade, Arkansas he is survived by 1 sister and 4 brothers, Ida, Jimmy, Wendell, Ben, and Larry. He was predeceased by his parents John and Fannie Byrd Harrison and 2 siblings, David and Gelinda. He retired as a CWO-3 from the Navy in 1976, enrolled in college, earned a BS degree in Accounting, and went on to retire as Director of Information Systems at the JPA in 2005. Bill enjoyed many activities--watching football, long walks and gardening. However, what really defined him and created the loving bonds with his sons and grandchildren were his involvement in their activities as coach, observer and chauffeur. Those long drives to school and sports events fostered their knowledge of Bill's early life and life lessons learned. He will be sorely missed but always remembered as a kind loving husband, father and grandfather. We love and miss you Bill.
