Betty Lou Clotworthy (nee Krabel), 93, of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida passed away on October 20, 2021, after a prolonged illness. A private service will be held for family.
Betty was born in Freeport, New York on April 25, 1928. She attended The Juilliard School of Music In New York. Betty was a talented singer and enjoyed music throughout her life.
Betty married on September 2, 1948 to Donald B. Clotworthy. Betty’s loving husband preceded her in death. Betty and Don were married for 50 years.
Betty had an affinity for finance and investing. She served as the long-time treasurer for The Penthouse Association in Deerfield Beach, FL.
She enjoyed travel, playing bridge, music, and sharing her love of life with family. Betty was residing at The Palms in Ponte Vedra Beach at the time of her death. She served as one of their Ambassadors and as Bridge Coordinator for the bridge groups.
Betty is survived by her children Susan Jones (Thomas Jones), Kathy Tillery (David Tillery), and Donna Slider (David Slider); her grandchildren, Bryan Jones (Jennifer), Joanne Jones Powell, John Tillery (Megan), Karen Tillery Jordan (Myles), Michael Slider (Callie), and Matthew Slider (Tessa); and her great grandchildren, Corrigan Jones, Zoe Jones, Asher Powell, Broderick Jordan, Rowan Jordan, Ferghal Jordan, Jackson Slider, and James Slider.
