It is with deep love and heavy hearts that we share the passing of Ben Pundamiera, who went home to the Lord on October 7, 2025, at the age of 76.
Ben was born on June 25, 1949, in Pateros, Rizal, Philippines, and later made his home in Atlantic Beach, Florida, where he built a life rooted in love, faith, and family.
He was a patient man with quiet strength — the kind of strength that lifted others up without ever calling attention to itself. Ben loved his family fiercely and devoted his life to their happiness and well-being. A proud U.S. Navy veteran, he served his country with honor and dedication before retiring to enjoy the simple joys of life that made him happiest: fishing, golfing, dancing, and singing.
Those who knew Ben will remember his easy smile, his gentle humor, and his steady presence. Whether casting a line on the water, singing along to his favorite songs, or sharing a dance, he found joy in life’s everyday moments and spread that joy to those around him.
Ben is survived by his loving wife, Rosita Pundamiera; his son, Robin Pundamiera and wife, Jacqueline; his daughter, Leriza Pundamiera; and his cherished grandchildren, Aiden Buena, Trey Ventura, and Jensen Sinio. He will also be lovingly remembered by extended family and dear friends across the Philippines and the United States.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, October 20, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, located on Mayport Road in Atlantic Beach, Florida. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating Ben’s life and the love he shared so generously.
Ben’s life was a beautiful example of humility, faith, and devotion. Though he is no longer with us, his laughter, love, and quiet strength will remain forever in our hearts.
