Anne Lindley Shockey Rhodes

Anne Lindley Shockey Rhodes of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, passed away on September 6, 2023. She was born February 15, 1935, in Hagerstown, Maryland, and is predeceased in death by her parents, Dorothy Baker Shockey and John E. Shockey.

Lindley is survived by her husband of 61 years and their only child, Frederick W. Rhodes II, born June 10, 1964. Both reside in Ponte Vedra Beach.

Lindley was a graduate of Hagerstown High School in 1952 and the University of Maryland with a degree in Elementary Education in 1960. She was a teacher until her retirement. The Rhodes family moved to Ponte Vedra Beach in 2000. Lindley was an avid bridge player having been taught by her mother at an early age. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Hagerstown and the Chapel at Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach. Lindley will be interned in Hagerstown, Maryland.
