Anita Rosenbaum Perlman

Anita Rosenbaum Perlman, 93, passed away on October 18th, 2023.  She was born in the Bronx, New York to Francis and Isidore Rosenbaum.  She was predeceased by her son Kenny Zamm and brother Gerald Rosenbaum. 

Anita arrived in Jacksonville in 1963 and went into the family business, Arlington Men’s and Boy’s shop, and later The Matador Men’s shop in Regency Mall.  Her many interests included Theater, Art, Symphony and the Jaguars.  She traveled throughout the United States and Europe, China and Israel.  Anita especially enjoyed the time she spent with the children of Atlantic Beach Elementary as the Picture Lady.  Anita was married to Dr. Allan Perlman, the love of her life, for 50 years, who was unendingly devoted and patient, and cared for her during her many illnesses.

Anita is survived by her adoring children Alan Zamm (Anne), Ricky Diebel (Chuck); her beautiful grandchildren Melissa Giles (Mike), Josh Zamm, and Jess Diebel; her great grandchildren Layney   and Kaylee Giles and her sister in law Joy Jeneff.  She was a lifetime member of Hadassah and Wolfson Children’s Hospital.  She was also a member of Beth El Beaches Synagogue. 

Anita wishes to thank all the wonderful caring doctors and nurses at Mayo Clinic, the compassionate nurses of Community Hospice and everyone from Visiting Angels. 

Graveside services will be held at Ponte Vedra Valley Cemetery on October 19, 2023 at 3:30pm (4750 Palm Valley Road, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082), followed by a condolence gathering at Beth El Synagogue (288 Roscoe Blvd, Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl 32082).  Shiva will be held at Anita and Allan’s home from 6-8pm, with the Rabbi arriving at 7pm.  Please ask Rabbi Dyme for the home address if needed.  Donations can be made to Wolfson Children’s Hospital, Beth El Synagogue, or Community Hospice.
