Alexander C. Skowronski, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025, in Jacksonville, Florida. Born on August 28, 1941, in Derby, Connecticut, Alexander leaves behind a legacy of kindness and a spirit of generosity that touched the lives of many.
For over a decade, Alexander served as a retail associate at Home Depot, where he found joy in helping others and forging connections within his community. His warm demeanor and natural ability as a good listener made him a source of support and comfort for those around him. He possessed a delightful "go with the flow" attitude, ensuring that he was always pleasant company. He had an innate ability to engage with others, especially his grandchildren, and took great delight in sharing his knowledge and life experiences with them.
A proud veteran, Alexander dedicated his early years to serving in the Navy as a Fire Control Technician from 1963 to 1967, a period that remained one of his proudest accomplishments. He held deep appreciation for his country and this service embodied his commitment to bettering others and contributing to the greater good.
Those fortunate enough to know Alexander will remember him for his love of hunting for good deals, demonstrating his keen sense for finding value not just in items, but in experiences and relationships.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 30 years, Joan L. Skowronski; sons, Alexander Skowronski, David E. Skowronski, Scott Skowronski; daughter, Laurie Skowronski; stepdaughter, Lauren (Anthony) Dibiasio, and a host of adoring grandchildren.
Alexander is reunited with his parents, Alexander and Florence Skowronski, and his dear sister, Virginia.
A graveside service with military honors will take place at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday June 25, 2025 at Jacksonville National Cemetary, located at 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville Fl, 32218.
