Adam “Ed” Suchecki was born on July 9, 1925, in Peabody, Massachusetts to Casimir and Mary Suchecki. Adam was one of six children; Frank, John, Joe, Genevieve and Chet.
Adam was the last of his siblings to pass.
Adam served in WW II as a pilot and Second Lieutenant in the United States Army Air Forces. After his honorable discharge from the Army Air Forces, Adam attended Boston College where he majored in Chemistry and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. After graduation, Adam joined National Starch and Chemical Corporation, working as a chemical salesman for the company until his retirement at age 60.
While working in Chicago for National Starch, Adam met Shirley Jean Koskela, his wife of 66 years and the love of his life. Adam and Shirley had two children, Mark and Jan.
Adam was blessed with 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Mark has two sons with Annie; Adam and Christian. Jan and her husband, David, have three daughters; Lauren, Anna and Kristin.
Lauren and her husband, Chadwick McMahon, have a daughter Sander and a son Wilder. Anna and her husband, Blake Waring, have two daughters, Lily and Nora.
Kristin and her husband, Spencer Hamilton, have a daughter Harper Mae.
Adam pursued his retirement with great enthusiasm, enjoying more time with Shirley, his children and his grandchildren, mastering his golf game, practicing his well-honed culinary skills, and indulging in an occasional martini.
Adam passed peacefully on October 21, 2021. His exceptional intellect and good humor will be missed by all who had the blessing of knowing this wonderful man.
