Robert “Bobby” Hulett, 60, peacefully joined his Savior on the morning of April 28, 2019.
A Jacksonville native, Bobby was born to Allen and JoAnne Hulett on September 17, 1958. During his youth, he enjoyed riding motorcycles and working on cars alongside his best friend. Over the summer of 1975, Bobby met the love of his life. After six years of dating, they married in 1981. While building a beautiful life together, they were blessed with four lovely daughters, three loved son-in-laws, and three precious granddaughters. Bobby greatly enjoyed spending time with his family and especially loved taking on the role of “Pop Pop”.
Professionally, Bobby spent many years working as a Meat Department Manager at Winn-Dixie and Publix Supermarkets. He dedicated several years to his own landscaping business with the help of his son-in-law. He concluded his career with his “dream job” at Beaver Street Fisheries as an Assistant Meat Room Manager.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Paula, and their four daughters, Sabrina Batycki (Tony), Rebecca Hulett, Moriah Flint (Aiden), and Alicia Jones (Cullen); his granddaughters, Olivia, Juliette, and Anabeth Batycki; his siblings, Allen Hulett, Claudine Selder (Charles Martin), Shirley Abbassi (Allen), Billy Hulett (Anne), and Deborah Newmes (Chris); his mother-in-law, Marjorie Curry; his sisters-in-law, Pamela Oliveri (Joseph) and Margaret Andrus (Mikkel); and many loved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and good friends.
A casual memorial service celebrating Bobby’s life will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Englewood Christian Church (4316 Barnes Road South, Jacksonville, FL 32207). Following the service, the family will be visiting with guests in the Fellowship Hall of the church.
In lieu of flowers, Bobby’s family is requesting donations to be made to the City Rescue Mission (https://www.crmjax.org/ways-to-give/).
