Welcome to the memorial page for

Michael P. Veneto

February 21, 1973 ~ February 10, 2017 (age 43)

The Piano Brothers

Michael P. Veneto, 43, passed away suddenly on February 10, 2017 of natural causes. He was born February 21, 1973, in Boston, MA. He grew up in Hingham, MA, and moved to Jacksonville, FL in 1999. He was a 1991 graduate of Hingham High School and graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1995.

A lifelong legacy of outstanding athletic achievements began very early for Mike. His standout performance on Hingham baseball, hockey, and particularly soccer teams, culminated in Mike twice being selected as a Division 1 College Soccer All-American. After college, Mike continued playing soccer in the National Professional Soccer League for the Cleveland Crunch and later for the Philadelphia Kixx. Mike was an avid golfer and was most recently employed as the Director of Sales for Windsor Parke Golf Club. Mike was a die-hard Boston sports fan who relished every team’s victory. His love of Boston was surpassed only by his love of life and the people he surrounded himself with. The minute you met Mike, you were instantly his friend.  Above all else, family was everything to him and not a day went by without him touching base with family members.

He leaves behind his beautiful daughter Riley of Ocala, Florida. Loving son of Peter Veneto and his wife Marti of Quincy, MA and Elaine Veneto and her husband Marvin Madden of Rockland, MA. He is survived by two sisters and their families: Angela (Veneto) Hopfe and her children, Ryan, Brooke, and Jordan of Jacksonville, Florida, and Michele (Veneto) Messina, her husband Frank and their daughter Casey of Norwell, MA. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother, Lena Veneto, of Quincy.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the viewing on Thursday, February 16th, from 3-8 p.m. in Quinn-Shalz Funeral Home, 3600 Third Street South, Jacksonville Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mike may be made to the Riley Veneto Education Fund. Please make any donation checks payable to: Peter Veneto ITF Riley Veneto. Mail to: 190 Wilson Ave, Quincy, MA 02170.

Mike will be sorely missed by each and every one whose life he touched.
